How much does doula training cost?
The Developing Doulas course costs £700 (£675 if paid in one lump sum).
We normally ask for a non-refundable £100 booking deposit, with the balance due 2 weeks before the start of the course. If, however, you need a more creative solution to payment, please do get in touch – you won’t be the first! We welcome payment in installments.
In Financial Need?
If you are dreaming of becoming a doula but can not afford a place, talk to us. We are often able to help in creative ways.
We are particularly interested in supporting people from marginalised communities to become doulas.
We have one assisted place in each group. This is a 20% discount. This place is called the Pam Lacey Award and is in memory of a dear friend who was a doula and International Board Certified Lactation Consultant and Chair of ABM. I invite applications from women who are committed to working to protect, support and nurture breastfeeding in their communities.
I also invite applications from Student Midwives for a free place if they need some time to reflect, rest and be nurtured for a few days! This place is especially aimed at students who are having a tough time. They may be considering dropping out, or feeling traumatised by the care they are witnessing.
Student midwives who are enjoying their course and feeling supported by their tutors and mentors will be asked to pay for the course.
The Developing Doulas online extention course, Doulavation is available to those who have done, or who are doing, Developing Doulas. All DD graduates get a discount. If you would like to enrol in Doulavation for the discounted price of £125, please contact us.
Doulavation has been so helpful I’ve only just started it and I have been given such a helpful guide and directions to run with already. Maddie is a lovely human. So humble and is so knowledgeable, experienced, empowering and generous to help build the belief and trust that you can walk along your own self honouring doula journey with grace and honour. I highly recommend Doulvation not just to doulas but all birth workers. Thank you Maddie I feel so blessed our paths have crossed. Leila
