Hello, I’m Lucy, founder of The Matrescence Atelier.

I’m a postnatal doula based in Worthing, supporting families across Sussex through the tender transition into parenthood.

Alongside my doula work, I also volunteer with a local charity supporting families in the early days with their little ones, and I am a trained ABM Peer Supporter, offering breastfeeding support and encouragement. These experiences have given me the privilege of supporting many different families, each with their own unique journey.

I offer gentle, intuitive care that meets your family’s needs in the early weeks after birth. My role is to walk alongside you — providing emotional support, practical help at home, feeding guidance, and the reassurance that you are not alone. Whether it’s holding your baby while you rest, preparing nourishing meals, or simply listening as you process your journey, I bring a calm and supportive presence into your home.

My services include flexible daytime postnatal doula care, night doula support for rest and recovery, and free breastfeeding support. I also offer antenatal preparation sessions, weaning guidance, and hypnobirthing support — helping you feel informed, empowered, and nurtured at every stage.

I am passionate about supporting families in Worthing and throughout Sussex to feel held, balanced, and respected as they welcome new life. My approach is grounded in intuition, integrity, inclusivity, and the belief that every parent deserves a village of support.
