More about me
Hi after I had my first child at home in a water birth I reflected back to my prenatal yoga days led by Angie a warm hearted doula and my memories reading my mothers marks and sparks pregnancy book (I still have it.) It was then I knew I was ready to begin supporting women in pregnancy and child birth.
Three years later after having my two other children at home and completing the access to midwifery diploma I trained as a volunteer breastfeeding peer supporter under PSB whilst continuing to work as a teaching assistant and nanny. From here I applied to developing doulas, I joined my tribe in July 2016.
Maddie and the other ladies welcomed me so much as a single mother and planted the seeds to grow my confidence and knowledge. Since then I have continued to learn and study. I’ve developed practice in Rebozo, Closing the bones, self study using aromatherapy, crystals and yoga. I continued to volunteer at children’s breastfeeding groups, positive birth classes and online pages in maternity or pregnancy support. I’ve supported two single parents in a caesarean and as an access fund birth doula. On a personal note I hope to support parents with fertility issues or loss. I’ve had my own experiences here and can emphasize. I would like to support single mothers too.
Outside of being a doula I’m a mum to three boys, beautiful Angel my cat, three Guinea pigs and sea monkeys. I enjoy walking, reading, yoga, chocolate, TV and anything to do with maternity or Christmas.
