Infant Feeding Academy
The Infant Feeding Academy was founded by Registered Midwife, International Board Certified Lactation Consultant and Specialist Tongue-tie Practitioner Dee Bell. Dee’s mission is to share her extensive knowledge, and experience with dedicated practitioners and individuals who are passionate about positively impacting infant feeding outcomes and supporting families during their transition to parenthood.
The Infant Feeding Coach™ (IFC) program is designed to train practitioners in supporting parents and caregivers on their infant feeding journey, providing personalised guidance and education from before birth all the way through to the fourth trimester. IFCs offer evidence-based strategies, practical tips, and emotional support to empower parents in making informed decisions and fostering a positive feeding relationship with their infants.
The program is delivered through a combination of online self-paced distance learning and pre-recorded content, live interactive sessions, monthly mentoring sessions, workbooks, and a final assessment.
Upon successful completion of the 16-week core program, students earn the qualification of Infant Feeding Coach™, equivalent to a Breastfeeding Counsellor and are eligible for registration with FEDANT. Students are then transitioned and supported through the Progress & Mastery program, taking them through to a full 12 months of training. Students are encouraged to apply their knowledge through case studies and have access to advanced masterclasses, expert-led evenings, and virtual meet-ups to further enhance their understanding and connect with a community of like-minded individuals.

At Developing Doulas, we know how much you love preserving your placenta prints, often created with blood or paint. However, these prints can fade or deteriorate over time. If you want your clients’ prints to remain intact for a lifetime, follow these steps:
- Make the placenta print
Bring a sheet of card or drawing paper to the hospital. If your birth takes place at a hospital, you can also take the placenta home and make the print yourself. Always create the first print using the blood and for additional prints, dilute the paint with a bit of water to avoid it being too thick. - Scan your print.
If scanning isn’t possible, take a well-framed, well-lit, focused photo without any distortion. - Let us know about customisations.
Tell us if you’d like to add a name, birth details, a symbol, or a special phrase to personalise your print. - Choose your colours.
Select the colour(s) for the placenta and the frame. - Pick a font style.
Choose from six font options for the name.
