Hi, I’m Ellie – your mentored birth and postnatal doula in Hove.

Welcoming a baby is one of life’s most profound transitions. My role is to walk alongside you through pregnancy, birth, and the fourth trimester, offering calm, consistent support at every stage.

I believe every family deserves to feel safe, cared for, and truly heard during this time of change. Together, we’ll create space for you to feel confident in your choices, informed about your options, and supported no matter how your journey unfolds.

Over a series of sessions, I’ll take the time to get to know you and your hopes for birth. We’ll explore your preferences, share resources, and prepare in a way that feels personal to you and your family. I’ll be there to advocate for your needs and help you feel grounded, whether through labour itself or the days that follow.

I also draw on my roots — growing up in Hong Kong with Malay heritage — where traditional practices around nourishment and deep rest after birth are cherished. These values guide the way I care for mothers and families, reminding us that postpartum recovery is just as important as birth itself. From comforting, nourishing meals to practical guidance, I aim to nurture body and mind so you feel supported and restored.

If you’d like, we can also book in a postpartum planning session. This is a chance to establish routines, encourage open communication, and set expectations with your partner or support network — all designed to give you as smooth a transition as possible into parenthood.

Above all, my approach is warm, calm, and flexible. I’m here to reassure, empower, and hold space for you — so you feel supported not just as a parent, but as yourself.
