More about me
My name is Emily and I live in Derbyshire with my partner and 3 children.
Following the birth of my first child, I realised how crucial impartial evidence-based information and support is during the perinatal period and decided to train as an antenatal teacher in 2014 providing antenatal/parenting classes in my local area. I felt a huge pull to this new career path.
I decided to train with Developing Doulas in 2020 to provide both birth and postnatal support in the area. This seemed like a natural progression to offer deeper support, bespoke to the needs of women, birthing people and families – in an ideal world everyone would have a doula! I am new to this role, so that means you have the added benefit of me being supported by a Developing Doula Companion if you book my services. She is in the background to support me to support you!
At a similar time to training as a doula, I also added KGHypnobirthing training to my antenatal skills set.
I am an experienced breastfeeding peer supporter too and have been supporting families on their feeding journeys since 2013.
In my spare time I love reading, crochet, yoga, long walks with friends and holidays by the sea!
