Getting in touch
More about me
I believe in supporting you and your family with kindness, love, and empathy (and helpful information if wanted!). I will support you in making and protecting your individual birth and/or parental choices and ultimately navigating your own way through this challenging and special time of your life.
My passion is to be like your warm blanket on a cold day – there if or when you need to be surrounded, seen, comforted and to feel more ready, in control, confident, and to believe that you can absolutely do this.
About me.
I live in Morden, Surrey with my husband & two young children, Abby & Ellis. It is because of my own experience of fertility, birth, & breastfeeding that I find myself in the birth world after a 12+ year corporate career in property. I enjoy a busy day out as much as a cosy afternoon in, but love to be outside walking (chasing my kids) and Autumn is my favourite season for sure. My guilty pleasure is Grey’s Anatomy, I adore dark chocolate, & I wouldn’t be without an essential oil in my pocket.
Training/expertise:
- KG Hypnobirthing Diploma
- Mindful Birth Associate Teacher
- Developing Doulas Training
- Advanced Bio-mechanics of birth
- LGBTQ+ Competancy Training
- ABM (Breastfeeding) Trainee
- I have supported over 100 families antenatally in preparing for birth and parenthood
I have supported over 30 births that have included; homebirths, birth centres, waterbirths, induced labours, ‘high risk’ pregnancies, preterm labour, >42 weeks births, labour ward, unplanned and planned abdominal births (caesarean sections), and 2 freebirths. I have spent over 700 hours with families postnatally. These have all been a mix of first and second/third babies. I’d love to chat and get to know you better. I offer a free intro phone call or cuppa meet-up to learn more about you, your dreams, wishes and any fears around birth/parenthood. It also gives you the chance to get a feel for me and if I’m the right fit for you and your family. Rachel xx
