More about me

Hello my name is Saskia I live in South East London and am a birth worker/Doula working across prenatal, birth and postnatal.

I am currently in the process of finalising my course with Developing Doulas and looking for clients to start working with.
I am then looking to start specialising in biomechanics for birth, hypnobirthing, infant feeding and postnatal movement.

Pregnancy and birth is always something I have been fascinated with, the astonishing transformation both physically and mentally of a pregnant person and the journey that they undergo is something that I would love to support.
As the world moves in to a more tech based pace, I decided to take some time out from my job in fashion to pursue working with people, something that I feel deeply passionate about.

I’m interested in emphasising the importance of birth as a process, to grow your family, to work with you and build a relationship to enable a transformative experience rather than something to “knuckle down and get through”

The areas I’m most passionate about:

Empowering people to acknowledge what they really want/what is best for their baby
Encourage self care 
Supporting people who have not been listened to, allowing them to advocate for themselves
Providing honesty, respect and an open mind
Prioritising taking time and space out of one’s “busy lifestyle” 
Provide a place for joy and a positive spirit
