Hello, my name is Letty and I am an experienced Birth & Postnatal Doula based in Haverhill. I have always been fascinated with birth and babies and having trained with Developing Doulas in 2013 shortly after having my son, it quickly became a passion. As soon as Quinn was born I felt a strong calling to enter this line of work and signed up to a lifetime of learning! My aim is to walk with you, as you make your choices for birth and beyond. Every person chooses to have a doula for a different reason, so listening and getting to know you will help me to understand and adapt to the specific support that you are looking for. I am really passionate about supporting parents in making informed decisions and exploring all options about their care whilst also nurturing with practical help and tips for pregnancy, birth, infant feeding and early parenting. I am very much aware that pregnancy and the early weeks brings with it a minefield of information – a lot of it conflicting, which can create so much doubt and confusion. I am here to help you navigate the information available and help you to prepare emotionally too, supporting you to have a positive experience. I am an experienced Wise Hippo Birthing Instructor, I have been running group courses, private courses and refresher sessions since 2014 so I can also support you in this way if you choose hypnobirthing as part of your antenatal preparation. I also run breastfeeding, babycare and fourth trimester workshops to help you to prepare and learn before your little one arrives. I am a Breastfeeding Counsellor with the Association of Breastfeeding Mothers and I also work with Cambridge Breastfeeding Alliance and Haverhill Breastfeeding Friends. I am hugely passionate about infant feeding and believe that, in the world we live in, knowledge is power – so I highly recommend doing some antenatal preparation. I am a Placenta Remedies Specialist and have been trained to provide a modern and safe method for women to consume their placenta in capsule form as well as other remedies. I have experience in attending and supporting natural births, water births, inductions, home births, hospital births (both birthing centre and delivery units), twin birth, VBACs, Caesarean births, supporting parents with severe perinatal depression, and pregnancy and birth after loss.
